Tascit has been produced using AccuRelease Technology that ensures a consistent release of potassium citrate in the patient’s body. This not only ensures a more constant level of urinary citrate, but also mitigates the gastrointestinal side effects usually associated with immediate release preparations.

Tascit comes in 2 dosage forms – the 10 mEq tablet and the 15 mEq tablet

• For Severe Hypocitraturia (urinary citrate <150mg/ day) Orally, 60 mEq per day
  10 mEq: 6 tablets daily taken in 3 divided doses of 2 tablets each (20 mEq 3 times/day)
  15 mEq: 4 tablets daily taken in 2 divided doses of 2 tablets each (30 mEq 2 times/day)
• For Mild to Moderate Hypocitraturia (urinary citrate >150mg/day) Orally, 30 mEq per day
  10 mEq: 3 tablets daily taken in 3 divided doses of 1 tablet each (10 mEq 3 times/day)
  15 mEq: 2 tablets daily taken in 2 divided doses of 1 tablet each (15 mEq 2 times/day)
