TASCITTM

Extended Release Potassium Citrate

Kidney stone treatment with AccuRealease TM Technology

WHAT IS TASCIT AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Tascit is an extended release wax matrix tablet containing potassium citrate as its active ingredient.

Tascit is used for the management of:

  • Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) with calcium stones
  • Hypocitrauric calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis of any etiology
  • Uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones

WHY IS IT BETTER AND WHAT IS THE IDEAL DOSAGE?

Tascit has been produced using AccuRelease Technology that ensures a consistent release of potassium citrate in the patient’s body. This not only ensures a more constant level of urinary citrate, but also mitigates the gastrointestinal side effects usually associated with immediate release preparations.

Tascit comes in 2 dosage forms – the 10 mEq tablet and the 15 mEq tablet
